The Berne Apparel HJ61 Men’s Modern Hooded Jacket is built from 10 oz. 100% cotton sanded duck with a water-repellent finish — the same duck weight as the HJ51 but with a contemporary design update. Body lining is heavyweight insulation quilted to polyester taffeta; sleeve lining is medium-weight insulation quilted to polyester taffeta. Triple-needle stitched main seams and a heavy-duty brass front zipper provide construction durability.
The defining additions of the HJ61 over the HJ51 are a rain-blocker hood design that creates a more weather-resistant hood with extended coverage, and a zippered chest pocket with a media port — allowing earbuds or headphones to route from a device in the internal pocket through the chest opening without exposing the device. Three inside chest pockets and two front patch pockets complete the storage array. Pleated elbows and action back provide range of motion.
